divh2Accounts Payable Specialist/h2pTopeka, KS/ppAs an Accounts Payable Specialist, you play a key role in supporting the financial health of the organization through the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. You are responsible for maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring financial records are up to date, and supporting accounting operations that keep projects and business functions running smoothly./ppIn this role, youll manage high volumes of transactions while balancing accuracy, deadlines, and compliance. Read on./ppIn this role, you will:/pulliProcess vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner./liliVerify invoice details, match transactions, and prepare payments in accordance with company procedures./liliSchedule and execute payments, ensuring proper authorization and documentation./liliReconcile vendor statements and transactions to maintain accurate account balances./liliMonitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payments to vendors./liliMaintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly./liliAssist with weekly cash flow analysis and distribute insights to leadership./liliIdentify and resolve discrepancies or delinquent accounts through proactive review./liliGenerate reports on vendor account status and financial activity as needed./liliSupport audits by providing documentation and resolving discrepancies./liliCollaborate with project managers and estimators to set up job budgets within Foundation Software./liliAssist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes./liliMaintain accurate financial records within ERP/accounting systems./liliUphold strict confidentiality of company and employee financial information./li/ulpWere excited about you because:/pulliYoure highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail./liliYou can meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment./liliYoure a strong communicator who builds positive relationships with vendors and internal teams./liliYoure proactive and take initiative to resolve discrepancies before they escalate./liliYou have strong critical thinking skills and approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset./liliYoure comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook./liliYou have experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a related financial function./liliExperience with Foundation Software or similar ERP systems is a plus./li/ulpThis job description is not exhaustive.
