Job Position: Production Labor

Location: TOPEKA, KS 66608

Pay Rate: $21.00/hr

Shift: 1st Shift

Responsibilities:

• Operate automated machinery to mix concrete, fill molds, vibrate and compact the concrete, and remove finished blocks from molds.
• Assist in batching and mixing raw materials, such as cement, sand, and gravel, according to specific formulas.
• Follow strict safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure the work area is clean and organized.
• Inspect finished blocks for defects, ensure they meet specifications, and monitor the curing process to meet strength and durability requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to operate various machines and equipment, including block-making machines and material handling equipment like forklifts.
• Essential for quality control and ensuring correct concrete mixtures and block dimensions.
• The role requires physical labor in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE is crucial.
• To follow specified formulas for concrete mixtures

Work Environment:

• The work environment is typically fast paced and physically active, with tasks that may be performed both indoors and outdoors.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
