Job Details

QUALIFICATIONS:* High school diploma or GED* Experience and training in one or more of department skill areas: mowing, grounds maintenance, fencing-playground maintenance, machining, welding, landscaping, equipment operation, asphalt* Ability to work from verbal and written instructions* Knowledge of standard practices, tools and terminology* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively without constant supervision* Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, hazardous materials and proper ways necessary to perform assigned tasks* Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 100 pounds and pass a pre-employment physical* Ability to perform work independently and dependably according to prescribed standards and technical procedures* Ability to work in varied weather and temperature conditions and to work from heightsRESPONSIBILITIES:Performs maintenance work with varied levels of skill in order to effectively maintain the District's builidings, grounds, and equipment in a timely manner. Performs related duties as assigned.
