Apartment Maintenance Rover (Full Time)

Immediately hiring. Join our awesome maintenance team in Topeka, Kansas. This is a hands-on job that will deal with helping our seven properties and teams in Topeka. Lend a hand in special maintenance projects, work orders, and make readies!

Schedule: M-F daytime hours 8AM-5PMincredible schedule with guaranteed work year-round! Pay: $26-28 an hour paid bi-weekly.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
  • Make Ready/Turning units in between tenants
  • Painting/staining both interior and exterior applications
  • Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program
  • Exterior structural maintenance as needed
  • Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone
  • Snow removal including on-call snow removal
  • Pool maintenance (where applicable)

The Experience We Like To See:

  • 4+ years' experience in maintenance or equivalent
  • 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
  • Dry walling including painting and carpentry
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches, and light fixtures
  • Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and garbage disposal
  • Preferred experience in HVAC and boiler system knowledge
  • Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
  • Problem solving skills
  • Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
  • Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30 days
