The Mail Processing Clerk supports the workflow of incoming mail by performing tasks in one of several key areas, including mail extraction, mail preparation, and document scanning. Each role has defined productivity standards and supports the accurate processing of donor correspondence and payments. Mail Processing Clerks help ensure client deadlines are met while maintaining Moore RMG's quality standards and commitment to efficient mail processing.

Your Impact:

  • Open and extract checks, documents, and correspondence from incoming envelopes.
  • Sort and categorize mail items, including damaged or non-scannable items and returned correspondence.
  • Review and verify incoming documents for accuracy, completeness, and required information.
  • Scan correspondence accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate piece counts and report daily totals to the supervisor.
  • Meet minimum productivity standards for assigned tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Report mail discrepancies or processing concerns promptly.
  • Support workload demands, including overtime and occasional Saturdays during high-volume periods.
  • Sit at a workstation for extended periods (approximately 90% of the time), walk short distances between departments (approximately 10%), and lift up to 10 lbs as needed.
Your Profile:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read printed and cursive handwriting
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
  • Dependable and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • GED or High School diploma preferred
