Description:

The Phlebotomist functions as a laboratory professional who performs specimen collection techniques or specimen collection instructions that include; venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instruction, and specimen culture collection instruction. Qualifications. Required Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Certification from nationally recognized agency.
