The Return Mail Clerk is responsible for the accurate processing and keying of return mail to ensure timely and correct mailing delivery for Moore RMG clients. This role plays a critical part in meeting production deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and efficiency standards. This position communicates with internal teams as needed, manages mail sorting and data entry tasks, and supports daily workflow while upholding Moore's commitment to quality and service.

Your Impact:

  • Sort and organize returned mail based on the reason for return, including mail containing checks or credit cards.
  • Key updated donor or address information accurately into established Excel spreadsheets.
  • Use Microsoft Word mail merge to generate letters and envelopes for corrected mailings.
  • Communicate with account managers when items require clarification or additional direction.
  • Maintain inventory of department supplies and report when restock is needed.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality, as this department is the final checkpoint before mail leaves the facility.
  • Support workload demands which may include overtime and occasional Saturday work based on mail volume.
  • Sit for extended periods (approximately 90% of the time), walk short distances between departments (approximately 10%), and lift up to 10 lbs as needed.
Your Profile:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational accuracy
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a time-sensitive environment
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
  • Customer service mindset with professional phone/email etiquette
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word required)
  • Minimum typing speed of 35+ WPM
  • 2 years of return mail experience preferred but not required
