This role will focus on developing new concepts and technology for Crop Care products including Planters, Sprayers, and Fertilizer applicators. You'll be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing design strategies related to product roadmaps.Your ImpactSolve complex Research and Engineering problems, with emphasis on mechatronicsPlan, execute, and document projects from conceptual design through testing•Collaborate with Global R&AE, Agronomy, and Product Engineering teamsProvide technical guidance to various departmentsDevelop and deliver proof of concepts for further developmentCreate patentable design features to maintain competitive advantageYour Experience and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science orComputer Engineering, Advanced degree preferred.Proficiency in C/C++ and Python • Experience with Bus systems (CAN, Ethernet, 100baseTX / 100baseT1)2+ years of embedded software development experience2+ years optional experience with:Image processing tools (OpenCV, Matlab)Machine learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)CAN protocols (SAE J1939 and ISO 11783)Simulation or modeling tools (MATLAB or SIMULINK)Proficiency in CAD (CREO or Solidworks)Experience in electrical component and hardware developmentYour WorkplaceWe offer a hybrid remote flexible schedule in Hesston, Kansas with approximately 30% remote, contingent on seasonal schedules.
