Ophthalmic Medical Technician
Location: Topeka, KS
Schedule: Monday-Friday, variable hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM

A sub-specialty ophthalmology practice in Topeka, KS is seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Medical Technician to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for someone interested in patient care, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is looking to gain valuable experience in the medical field. No prior ophthalmic experience is required-we provide full training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Record medical history and other patient data in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Perform vision screenings and pressure checks (training provided).
• Administer eye drops under physician direction.
• Support diagnostic testing and assist the imaging team as needed.
• Help train new staff members.
• Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with patients and coworkers.
• Assist with general clinical support duties as needed.

• Reliable transportation for occasional travel to other clinic locations.
• Interest in gaining experience in a clinical setting.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Medical or clinical experience is a plus, but not required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science or healthcare-related field is preferred.
• Flexibility with daily scheduling and occasional travel required.

• Location: Based in Topeka, KS
• Reimbursement: Travel and mileage reimbursement provided for occasional travel to other regional clinics (typically once per month or less)
