Description

Position Purpose: Provide leadership for the organization towards fulfillment of its mission, vision, and goals. Responsible for managing and leading the Environmental Services departments, including Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Remodeling. Oversee department operations to ensure maximum efficiency, compliance with professional standards, government regulations, and Brewster Place policies, ensuring the highest quality of services.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

1. Coordinate and direct Brewster Place facilities' cleanliness to maintain environmental services compliance. Supervise a team of housekeepers, custodians, and homemakers across the campus.
2. Oversee facilities and grounds maintenance and remodeling, ensuring high-quality, efficient services. Manage vendor contract negotiations and support purchasing and supplies as needed.
3. Handle resident complaints and issues related to Environmental Services, including Housekeeping, Custodial, Maintenance, and Remodeling.
4. Participate as a member of the Director-level management team, contributing to organizational decision-making.
5. Maintain professional competence and stay updated on trends in retirement living and long-term care related to Environmental Services. Share knowledge to support staff and board development.
