Job Description:We're looking to hire a FLOATING APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in Topeka Kansas! This is a full-time permanent position. Required for this role: Local travel, drivers license, background check and drug screen. We're seeking someone with apartment or residential maintenance experience who has an EPA certification and knows there way around repairing residential HVAC systems. Vision InsuranceLife and Disability InsurancePaid Holidays (start when you start)Paid Time Off, 1stYear = 80 Hours, 2-4 Years = 120 Hours, 5Years = 160 Hours20% off rent at any of our owned communitiesPaid additional training/schoolTuition reimbursement programYearly anniversary giftsTool reimbursement program, up to $500 per year ($250 available at 6 months)Power tool battery exchange programWinter boot reimbursement program What You'll Be Doing: Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priorityMake Ready / Turning Units in between tenantsPainting/Staining both interior and exterior applicationsManage and adapt a preventative maintenance programExterior structural maintenance as neededManaging coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phoneSnow removal (when applicable)Pool maintenance (where applicable)Housing inspection experience preferred (not required) The Experience We Like To See: 2years' experience in maintenance or equivalent6months experience in apartment maintenanceDry walling including painting and carpentryBasic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferredBasic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixturesBasic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposalPreferred experience in HVAC and/or boiler system knowledgeSome knowledge of water heaters both electric and gasProblem solving skillsBe able to provide great customer service to our residentsHave basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days A physical demonstration of your ability to complete the basic job duties will be required during the interview process.
