Position Summary

The Maintenance Director oversees the maintenance of the physical building and equipment. They supervise staff members and perform standard maintenance and repair tasks for center grounds and facilities.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Work closely with and follow directions from the Administrator.
• Maintain the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Perform basic repairs on center functions as determined by the maintenance supervisor.
• Take care of tools and equipment.
• Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and extinguishers. Change filters on HVAC equipment, carry, lift, and stock supplies.
• Remain on call, when assigned, 24 hours a day.
• Prioritize customer service by ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for customers and families.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Educational/Vocational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand spoken English to ensure safety and respond effectively to medical and physical needs.
• Verification of health and background as required by law and company policy.
