POSITION TITLE: Facility Maintenance Technician

LOCATION: Topeka, KS

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time / On-Site (Some travel required)

We are seeking an experienced carpenter or maintenance employee based in northeast Kansas who is willing to work in multiple locations across northeast Kansas each week.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Work independently for the successful completion of daily tasks and quality projects.
• Perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks for commercial facilities, including but not limited to, carpentry, drywall, painting, pouring/finishing concrete, and light trades work.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and scopes to verify the work and execute projects.
• Manage storage and protection of materials to ensure a clean, organized, and professional presentation of work sites.
• Identify opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible results for scope, quality, schedule, and financial targets.
• Support and maintain a healthy, happy work environment and corporate culture.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a maintenance or construction role
• Extensive experience with drywall, basic finish carpentry, painting, tile, concrete, etc.
• Experience with energy efficient building technology, techniques, and their applications.
• Experience operating a forklift, aerial lift and scissor lift is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED/First Aid training preferred.
• Associate degree and/or degree in construction or trade management preferred, but not required.
