MECHANICAL ENGINEER
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager on a major VA Medical Center Construction Program, in Topeka, Kansas. The Mechanical Engineer will report to a Senior Construction Project Manager as well as collaborate and assist VA client staff to provide data and generate reports on the projects.
Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer will provide leadership and mentorship and provide project and/or construction management of a single project or a major program with multiple projects. The Mechanical Engineer provides decisive direction regarding business, technical, and personnel management involving multi-disciplinary and diverse functional activities. The Mechanical Engineer will be required to learn, teach, and implement industry, client, and internal company best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the healthcare environment. The Mechanical Engineer will be leading a team of professionals and acting as an advisor/liaison to the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). The project will require off-hours work during construction to minimize the impact on medical center operations. The Construction Management services will be used to support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts.
