This position will support business operations in surrounding communities by helping build Ideatek's underground fiber optic network. This is a challenging job. If you are interested in a challenging but also rewarding career with opportunity to grow, this could be a perfect fit.Key Responsibilities (not limited to):Utilize all tools and equipment as needed to lay the groundwork for the fiber optic network (backhoe, excavator, shovel)Problem solve to overcome unusual obstacles and situationsKeep equipment clean and tidy for everyday useHave a safety mindset for day-to-day activitiesCollaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environmentUtilize good communication skillsDesired Attributes:Able to handle day-to-day tasks independentlyAptitude for learning and growingPassionate with attention to detailSense of urgency and follow throughExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdaptable to changing prioritiesTenacious attitude and a grit that won't quitReliable, trustworthy and dependableRequirementsExperience/Knowledge Required:2+ years of work experienceAbility to travel out of townMust possess and maintain a valid driver's licenseAvailable to work on call as needed for emergency tasksAbility to work outdoors in various conditionsAbility to lift up to 75 lbsAbility to carry and set vaults/pedestals.Ability to dig holes/trenches with a shovelAbility to pull fiber/conduit by hand.Ability to use boor machine, plow, excavator, backhoe, ground compactor, and concrete saw.Ability to pull and back, a large truck and trailer.Preferences:Working knowledge of constructionKnowledgeable of reading and understanding electronic and paper design work prints/maps of work and installation specification documentsHigh School diploma or equivalentPrior experience in underground construction or telecommunicationsCDL is preferred but not required** This position qualifies for a benefits package that includes competitive pay, generous health & life insurance, HSA/FSA option, 401k with match, paid holidays, paid time off, gym membership, tuition & certification reimbursement, long term/short term disability, group life insurance, and free internet.This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.This role is not eligible for relocation.Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.Equal Opportunity Employer.This employer uses e verify
