Job SummaryThe Facilities Services Technician is responsible for performing service call work orders and projects for healthcare locations. As a Building Maintenance team member, they are a key member of the team, responsible for quality repairs, remodeling, and improvement projects.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following is a general list of key job duties and responsibilities in your position. The list is not to be considered inclusive and you will be required to perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned by an authorized supervisor.Comply with the Facility's personnel, safety, and guidelines and procedures as related to a VendorReport witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator, Director of Nursing or Unit ManagerTreat visitors and team members with respect and dignityMaintain the confidentiality of all resident and family informationAssures 24 hour availability for emergencies and reports to work on time and as scheduledReport to work on time and as scheduledAbility to troubleshoot various issues occurring to correct any issues or deficienciesMust utilize electronic work orders, log books, and preventive maintenance tasksMust be able to meet timelines for projects. Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positionsAssure compliance to all State and Federal regulationsBe able to perform items including but not limited to rough & finish carpentry, siding/gutter work, drywall & patching, interior/exterior painting, flooring & tiling, cabinetry & countertops, minor plumbing/electricalFacility grounds must be maintained in an orderly fashion, free from hazards, debris and clutter. Sidewalks and drives must be free from snow, ice, leaves and in good repairKeep company equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and conditionOther job duties as assignedPhysical RequirementsThe following is a general list of key job/physical requirements for your position. The list is not to be considered inclusive and other job/physical requirements may be necessary as deemed by the Facility.Regular worksite attendanceMust be dependable, detail-oriented, and achievement-orientedSkilled tradesman experienceMust have good communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customersMust have basic computer skillsIf required to operate a motor vehicle for business purposes, must successfully complete the requirements contained in Company's Motor Vehicles policyMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessaryMust be able to assist in the evacuation of residents/building during emergency situationsMust be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodationEmployee is required to use a transfer/gait belt or to obtain the assistance of another employee when lifting or carrying objects in excess of 25 pounds. The employee must be aware that during the normal, routine performance of the essential functions, some of the following body movements may occur naturally, although they may not be a requirement of the job
